제주평화연구원

본 서적은 국제관계를 논의하는데 있어 가장 논란이 많은 주제 중의 하나인 국제협력을 직접 다루며 국제협력과 관련하여 두가지 문제에 대하여 분석과 대답을 제공하고자 합니다. 첫째, 국제협력의 본질과 관련해서 협력과 갈등의 상호배탕성 여부를 기준으로 경험적 분석을 통해서 협력의 본질을 논의합니다. 둘째, 협력과 관련한 기존의 연구가 세계시스템 차원 또는 양국가의 상호관계차원에서 분석하고 있음에 반해서 본 연구는 국제협력을 각국의 국내정치 차원에서 분석합니다. 경제의 악화와 선거와 같은 주요 정치 일정의 도래가 국가 간의 협력을 증대시킬 수도 있는데 이는 각국의 정책결정자들이 협력정책을 관심전환전략(diversionrary use of cooperative policy)으로 이용될 수 있는 가능성을 논의하고 있습니다.
